i don’t want to be in the city but in the outskirts of glasgow and edinburgh, i had thought of private rental but i don’t think i could afford that. i would like to have some contact with housing associations for renting a property but it would need to be a quiet area that i can bring up my 4 daughters in and close enough to a good primary school and secondary school that i could walk to if necessary

When you find this idyll, please don’t tell anyone or you will find that the house prices will soar and housing associations will be priced out of the market!
